Just watched They Will Kill you again and am now once more declaring that the whole entire world seems to have slept on this film. Zazie Beetz (who is basically a goddess, let's be real) kills--in so many ways. Campy and insane film. Watch it!

Finished Borderlands 4. Liked several things: movement is genuinely better than even Destiny--but I've been saying for years that all Destiny classes by default need a ground and aerial dash/dodge (if only BL had Destiny gunplay...) Even the BL4 grapple hook is super smooth and intuitive.

You know, I can't quite put my finger on it, but I find the idea that any given main character from Final Fantasy XII was trans to be rather compelling. Oh man, if they were literally all trans it would explain so much.

I dunno, I'm a relatively healthy 30-40 year old person, if I had a late-night crowd event on a Sunday straight into an international flight for board meetings then an international flight back at the end, I think the jet lag might kill *me.* So like...

Ya girl just tried that Mistfall Hunter beta on PS5 and, oof, not for me. Besides needing some polish (totally cool and not unexpected), I just don't feel this marriage of soulslike/fantasy action and extraction looting. It's Caramel and Jelly, not PB&J. I can see why, but it's not doing it for me.

Re. the new Mass Effect successor Exodus: You want to know if you can romance crew members regardless of whether you chose a male or female main character. I want to know what that octopus do. We are not the same.

Just my compulsory reminder ahead of SGF: fuck the CEO of Lords of the Fallen, he's an anti-woke grifter nazi apologist, fostering a toxic work environment, glazing the likes of asmongold, and turning a cool game into bottom of the barrel gooner chud bait to cover for his bad management.

BL4 is tonally good and fun, like just about all of it, but the only misfire for me so far is the open world. Like most open worlds, it feels condensed and small, a theme park version of its setting. All western vibes are gone w/ wide open spaces, now it's a garbage dump of STUFF every 2 feet.

Couldn't stick it out with Destiny 2, even with the incoming final update. No joy in the world for me, good as the gunplay remains. Tried Borderlands 4 and it's nice (it always has been) but the gunplay doesn't compare (it never has). If it felt like Destiny--hoo boy, what a time that would be.

Spicy (?) take: Witch Queen and Final Shape are ill-fitting gibberish nonsense that don't feel like Destiny. The satisfaction of their landing is conflated with 1. finally a chunky campaign with missions that aren't 10 minutes, and 2. oh thank god the plane landed it's over.

I could really do with another big Fromsoft soulslike. Gimme, I dunno, Rune Souls or whatever. Oh, another castle/library with a crystal motif? Don't mind if I do. A sewer dungeon that gives way into a poison swamp? Oh, you spoil me. (just improve the casting please I beg of you)

Look, I'm always gonna be real suspicious of when men design women characters (born sexy yesterday trope and all that), so when you tell me she wears a bikini to breathe through her skin, or that robot that looks like a child for some reason is barefoot to recharge battery... Nah, I'm good.

With the news of the Bloodborne movie, rumors of at least a remaster have again swelled. Everybody has their ideas for what tweaks to make. Tell you what, I'd give Maria the lifesteal from Malenia. Best fight in the game deserves to really sing.

I've owned every Playstation system there's been but the PS5 was the first time I ended up feeling like I didn't need to. Now I'm really unconvinced of the worth of a 6th. Suddenly I'm like, "Oh... That Steam Machine thing sounds neat, huh?" despite having never played any games on PC.

HOW have I not heard more chatter about They Will Kill You yet!? Just saw it and GIRL, same. Zazie Beetz (a literal goddess, I mean, LOOK at h--) is great, the soundtrack kicks ass, one of the most audacious films I have ever seen. Instant classic.

The new Mortal Shell 2 video looks dope as hell. All the things that drew me to the aesthetic vibe of Lords of the Fallen--just hope that unlike LotF it's got none of the cringe anti-woke lunatic vibe behind it. Plus that shell is thicc and spiky which has ya girl salivating.

I haven't played Nightreign, I just really think the time limit isn't for me, but I just saw footage of Revenant and her awesome claw slashes and all her ghost flame and I'm like, "Well damn, how do I get that in Elden Ring?"

Lords of the Fallen rumored to be free on PS+ next month. Reminder that CEO marek tyminski is an anti-woke grifter who likes the smell of asmongold's smelly balls, he gutted the studio, ruined his first game, and is turning the second into slop, to court the nazi crowd. I'll keep hating. Fuck him.

Hey, I liked Firefly as much as anybody, but the fact that Adam Baldwin is an anti-vax anti-woke freak and they brought him back no harm no foul doesn't sit well with me. Have some principles.

I was walking the dogs today and Destiny 1 music came fluttering to my mind, and I got all wistful, and oh, god, is that the itch? Do I wanna go back before the game shuts down? Oh man oh man.

As an extremely hardcore Tsushima: Legends player, I must say, I'm kinda disappointed by Legends 2. Outfits, customization, and even gender are all class locked, which was also true then, but they had 5 years to identify that was something nobody liked (we were LOUD about it!) and didn't.

Oh man, I'm obviously stoked to try out the new warlock in Diablo 4 (that fuchsia color palette is so my jam, lol), so I had meant to wait (4-28), but the little mini-season a few weeks ahead of it has a Doom crossover... the same day Yotei's new Legends multiplayer mode launches. Genuinely tough.

Diablo (4) really needs a model viewer and bestiary lore book, mostly because I wanna have a better sense of what the heck I'm looking at! Kill a thing over and over to get a 3d model, lore text, etc.

Well, and why shouldn't I? Why shouldn't I work on a TTRPG called BioPUNKS that's like Resident Evil's campiest globe-trotting outbreak-of-the-week warzones with a healthy veneer of 80's late cold war B-movie schlock?
