You ever experienced going through something or enduring some sort of a drama/trauma where after you've tried to talk or intervene, you've learned enough times to go somewhere quiet, not add to it, only to be be forced out or guilted for doing so, and then made to feel awful for speaking?
I don't know how to stand up for myself without feeling like garbage for it.
...I really hate venting anymore because I feel it makes me look bad or people will get sick of me. After all, when I do try to open up anymore, I tend to feel like all I get is judgement and made to feel bad for struggling--and somehow it ends up a fight. And I wonder why I'm in a corner so much.

Having to explain to my mom that I'm getting stuff to flex my muscles for strength-training is a bit awkward as I'm focusing on investing in equipment. 😅 I've been more quietly trying to build up some strength, mostly because I was told to focus on core strength some years ago to support my back.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realise something. For those of us who grew up on DeviantArt and saw it as a paradise where our art could grow and thrive, it was never really about followers or likes. It was about creating, discovering others, making friends, and simply enjoying the process.
