Shuichi did not know what he had expected.
He had delayed getting to him, out of all of their former classmates. Perhaps he had thought he would have been harder to find. More... Troublesome. Or perhaps it was only because he was the last one; and there was still some sort of survival instinct at work, buried deep under his flesh, the same kind that stopped his feet from getting too close to the railing... Just in case. Not that this had stopped him from signing up for the Killing Game in the first place.
In any case, Shuichi had not expected it to be so... Well, normal. He looked at it; stared at it, stubbornly, as if he would be able to see through it, if he kept at it, revealing all the ugly secrets behind. But it was just a plain wooden door, for a plain apartment, right in the center of Hirakawacho. The only thing that could have tipped anyone off was the ringbell, the tenant's name scribbled over in black marker—not in a hurry, his Detective mind supplied, but with utmost care, making sure it had been rendered completely illegible. Simply hidden in plain sight.

Shuichi's naked torso reflects back at him in the bathroom mirror and his lips crinkle into an irritated frown. No detective work is needed for this case. Only someone as malicious as the Ultimate Supreme Leader would draw a butterfly on his stomach.
In permanent marker.
Kokichi mentioned doodling something on his tummy after they exited the Neo World Program, but Shuichi wrote it off as a lie. Obviously, it was just another throwaway fib from the resident liar, and far from his typical pledges of public guillotine or hanging. Why, out of every playful threat, chucked at Shuichi like a shuttlecock, would this be the truth?
Well, if there's one thing Kokichi's good at, it's occupying Shuichi's mind. And right now, his brain is positively consumed.
