"The lines that he was crossing, it's just inappropriate for a boss to be doing this to women whose employment he has in their control." @sarahmatthews1.bsky.social on what the bizarre details in the Chuck Edwards ethics report reveal about a much larger pattern of powerful men in Washington.

MAGA Republicans: Here's a learning stratigy: Listen very carefully to other non cult members talking or when reading, if there's a topic you either don't understand or know nothing about, then research it, what ever the topic and that's how to increase your intellect! Ignorance is not a virtue!

Kansas voters rejected a ballot measure requiring state Supreme Court justices to be elected instead of appointed by the governor, another setback for Republican lawmakers trying to overturn the ruling that established a constitutional right to abortion.

Voters in Kansas saw through a blatant political power grab and sent a message — our courts are not for sale.

Kansas voters showed up and protected their impartial state supreme court, helping defend abortion rights, LGBTQ rights, and civil liberties for generations to come.”

we have reached our regularly scheduled Susan Collins Is Very Concerned set of messaging votes that are somehow, magically, never actually decisive let's see if Maine falls for Susan-with-the-football again (I'm actually kinda optimistic with Jackson)

Susan Collins is a NO on Todd Blanche for AG: “While I believe Mr. Blanche is a capable lawyer, the Department of Justice has become increasingly political.” Unlikely to change the outcome; he can lose two Rs and get confirmed. Collins voted YES on Blanche as Deputy AG last year.

As predicted, Susan Collins comes out against Blanche. Don’t make too much of it. The R leadership okayed it b/c they have a vote to lose and b/c Collins in a tight race in Maine, in which Ds have won last several presidential elections. But they can’t lose another. All eyes on Cassidy and Murkowski

Susan Collins announcing she'll vote against a controversial nominee is basically the moment it becomes clear that nominee will be confirmed. It means Thune has enough votes to confirm, and thus, Collins gets a pass to look independent.

The same old Susan Collins charade. As soon as a controversial nominee or a bill has enough votes to pass, she announces she will vote no when it doesn’t matter. She never casts a deciding vote against Trump. Now she will claim this shows how she is so “independent.”

Every Republican who votes to confirm Blanche needs to take a good look in the mirror and ask themselves why He's going to bury the Epstein Files He's going to give Trump and his family immunity from tax crimes He's going to make us pay felons who tried to overthrow the government And they know it

The MAGA Republican platform is crystal clear they are creating a Fascist White Nationalist Christian segregated Autocracy that is paramount. People of color are not part of their grand master plan, nor are independent women, gays, or persons who are opposed to their draconian executive orders!

As I said...Just watched Cornyn & now Tillis slathering Blanche as a "stabilizing force" in this admin while DEM AGs were crooked... Sen Whitehouse now shreds them, starting with #Epstein files & Maxwell.
