The trap is that you finish a draft, feel great, and want to fix it immediately. But you’re still too close to see it. Every writer we know has had the experience of reading something months later and thinking who wrote this. How long do you let a draft sit before you go back to it? 👀

Been a while since I have been able to return to RavenWood. In order to do so, I had to contract my energy to fit through the portal. I had to become the Me who could continue telling a story with my friends.

Read your writing out loud. It is the fastest edit, and one you should be using. The spot where you trip over your own sentence is almost never bad reading, it is a sentence that needs fixing. Your eyes skip what your voice catches. Writing tip of the day 🙌 #WritingCommunity #AmWriting #WritingTips
