We’ve seen this before: Trump nominees do anything to get confirmed, then switch back to doing whatever Trump tells them to. The Senate should still vote No on Trump’s criminal defense lawyer as our next Attorney General.

Another community is demanding answers because of ICE. The death of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo is heartbreaking, and his family deserves justice. This pattern is unacceptable. Lorenzo Araujo's killer must be held accountable for the life he took and the family he destroyed.

After the San Diego mosque shooting, threats & hate toward mosques must be taken seriously. Calls for a “pig roast and BBQ” at a mosque aren’t harmless, they’re Islamophobic & dangerous. As a senator I have visited houses of worship of every faith. People should be free to worship without fear.

This is vile and dangerous. It’s not just Islamophobic rhetoric; it’s a call to expel American citizens & target a specific faith community. We have seen where this kind of dehumanizing language leads before, and we cannot be silent now. America was founded on religious freedom, not hate.

Governor Spanberger's signing of SB749 marks a monumental victory for public safety in the Commonwealth of Virginia, banning the sale, manufacture, and transfer of assault firearms and large capacity magazines effective July 1, 2026.
