I've been impressed at the degree to which grocery stores are carrying more products marketed towards data analysis nerds
In all likelihood a favourite Bayesian beer.

Woke up this morning from a dream in which I showed up in the living room of a researcher whose analysis I was trying to understand and yelled "SHOW ME YOUR DAAAAAAGS" If I ever do this in real life feel free to call the police
Oh god, is this the venom coursing through my veins that has caused me to fill my project ideas spreadsheet with methods/metascience/science-of-science stuff I'm completely unqualified to do?
The spider bite leading one to become a methodologist: "[substantive topic] is a interesting, I want to study it!" [Learns about how topic is typically studied] "Oh my god" [Becomes a methodologist]
What's your favorite method for controlling the Type I error rate and why is it Benjamini-Hochberg

Came to my first @improvingpsych.org conference hoping to find My People. During the first coffee break, ended up talking with @priyasilverstein.com and @lillianistrying.bsky.social as if we'd known each other for years, and every conversation since then has had similar ease. My heart is full.
I wonder what proportion of bias in the literature is attributable to people more carefully checking null or surprising results and correcting errors, but not checking positive/expected results and missing those errors. A perfectly innocent behavior, but ...
Found a cool result I checked my code Now I have correct code
I thought of this meme multiple times within the past 24 hours when it was, unfortunately, inappropriate to giggle in public for no reason
I can't be the only one who hears this, right? #statsmeme
At coffee with @ihandleyminer.bsky.social yesterday, discussed how to do metascience stuff and challenge current practices without being perceived as a jerk. Concluded that one needs to be charming and approachable on a podcast and/or on social media. And we are not starting a podcast. So.
