Somewhere really normal

My parents split when I was 9. On the day that Dad left the family home, my cat was hit by a car and killed. When my Dad died a couple of weeks ago, I had the fleeting thought - I hope nothing happens to the cats Dad's funeral today and my boy cat has come down with a UTI

My Dad died four days ago. Today, I find myself with a desperate need to be 7 years old again Think I'll indulge it by watching every episode of Eerie Idiana and eating nothing but Skittles. Probably not the healthiest way to grieve, but I don't know what else to do at this point

I tried to step over something and managed to get my foot caught in the bottom of my ridiculously baggy trousers. If there's a lesson there I don't want to know what it is

Nothing like that sweaty-palmed dread you get when you submit a job application in a panicked rush and have a horrible feeling you might've spelled your last name 'Shirtt' instead of 'Shortt'

Might be on the verge of signing up for the first stage of training for a completely different path, knowing that I'll have to start all the way from scratch, and it's gonna take ages. Is that daft?

Today's highlights: Met two donkeys Met a horse Saw two shelducks Saw some oystercatchers Met a very helpful lady with two greyhounds Had a friendly taxi driver. Turns out he's from Telford Went to Beaumaris Castle
