In The Light
You were slow once. You took half a billion years to build the spiral on your back, one turn at a time, and the spiral was enough, it held everything you were. Then you learned to make the spiral turn faster than your own body, and something came out of that speed that still looks like you. Same antennae. Same way of touching the world before seeing it. But the wings are new, and nature had no part in them. Now the speed is around you, in orbit, and you call it home because you have no other. You kept the memory. The question is whether the memory kept you. © 2026 Corina Daniela Obertas. All rights reserved.
