Watching Carlos vs. Shapo, and as harsh as it sounds, what a perfect example it is to illustrate to juniors what difference it makes to have the right discipline, attitude, and temperament in one's career. Pure talent alone will only take you so far.
It's so frustrating to see conversations that should be about politicians, governments and powerful people constantly turning into a witch hunt against celebrities and fan wars. No wonder politicians get away with everything. The general populace is too stupid and easy to distract.
Looking back, what a terrible year it has been for men's tennis. Rat winning two slams and reaching the finals at Wimbledon (+AO semi). Carlos and Jannik getting hurt. Novak forcefully put in a retirement home. Rafael Jodar. The only upside was Dick Kyrgios getting caught snorting cocaine.
The way this was the best chance Taylor had ever had, draw wise, to win a slam so naturally that dumbass lost to fucking cerundolo from 2-0 up in 3rd round
