Toilet wars continue: Toilet sign for disabled and trans communities. Ambience Mall, Gurugram, Delhi NCR. The global constructed narrative of sex/gender/toilet reaches everywhere and is mobilised in several ways. I’m conflicted.

Dismantle the US military — the single viable option to save our world. We are tired of endless wars from a war-hungry nation.

➡️ https://l.liberation.fr/QCl
… And we spent the evening discussing trans and queer heritage as well as our food cultures. The soft sky faded into dusk as Rohit and I held on to our Long Island drinks watching Delhi Sultanat’s Qutub Minar (1199-1220) in the background stand witness to it all.
Trans history post: Hijron ka khanqah (Hijra/transfeminine retreat) is a compelling reminder that our trans & queer histories do not require imprimatur from dominant global north-biased queerness. We are alive. This resting place for Hijra sisters in Delhi dates from 1452-1526 (Lodi dynasty). 1/2
Maasi (mum’s sis) is invited to lunch with us. Mum’s insisting on a white and pink combination. She almost threw the jug away as it has yellow images on white. Anyhoo, enjoy your time with the loved ones.
Sweaty but barbered. I was asked at the barber’s if I wanted a package deal: haircut, beard, and de-tan. I told the barber the first two were fine but I didn’t get the last item nor did I wish to. It’s obviously the clientele demanding racist rubbish. Fanon, liberate us from the de-tan economy!
Arabic poet Al-Ma'aari (973-1058) gave us one of the first recorded vegan poems written around 1000 A.D. I No Longer Steal from Nature You are diseased in understanding and religion. Come to me, that you may hear something of sound truth. Do not unjustly eat fish the water has given up, 1/3
Et tu Boy Georges! Queer celebs on the wrong side of history, we see you. #FreePalestine
Nothing awry in crossing the border to Ceuta (it was Moroccan anyway). Don’t let them mislead us. It’s totally unethical to have extractive capitalist economies on this side of the divide. We hoard resources securing economic benefits for a few—a system built upon the immiseration of others. #Ceuta
There's a long history of trans/ queerphobic representation of political warfare. It stems from deeply embedded misogyny. In times of crisis, it is clearly manifest: Saddam Hussain's caricatures, IDF soldiers' sick games... Calling your opponents hijra, chhakka or posting their image in 1/2
Abolition feminism addresses issues of the carceral state in a wider conversation around its industrial scale. The critical discussions emanating from abolition feminism require larger dissemination. It’s not a niche concept-topic; it’s a critical reimagination of the social fabric instead.
Abolishing our carceral state and our prison system would not preclude the need for some form of involuntary constraint. All abolitionist literature addresses this practically. Abolition involves reimagining our systems. The present system does not keep us safe; it poses a threat to us all.
It’s not a slogan. It’s a cause. Abolishing slavery was a cause, and everything that’s written below about prison abolition was written about abolition of slavery. It’s good to have causes, if they are just.
"Abolish Prisons" is a slogan that will immediately turn off 95% of people, regardless of the nuances in the literature. Far more harmful than helpful. The right clearly always wanted to make abortion illegal and punish women who got them. But they didn't make that their slogan! They knew better!
In this essay, I argue that contemporary uses of the term "decolonisation" (including its seemingly unalterable location in the granting of independence to former colonies) are much narrower than the radical histories and struggles from which it emerged. folukeafrica.com/the-trouble-...

Comrade Zohran's black hair shimmered as he announced new caliphate rules to change our country into CHY-NA, his eyes magnetically pulling Christians and Jews toward his way of life through lower prices
At our municipal grocery stores, New Yorkers will get a 30% discount on eggs, milk, chicken, produce and other everyday essentials. In the wealthiest city in the richest country in the world, no one should have to wonder how they’ll afford the food they need to feed themselves or their families.
