'Becoming Led Zeppelin' On Netflix. I'm going in, for a couple of hours.
I don't know who Alex is, but I'm hoping the Restore Lost Emails function will retrieve the message that got dumped in the Spam folder and then accidentally deleted. Do not open email before coffee; that's all I can say.
Diarrhoea was a favourite word of the art teacher. I suspect this stemmed from his time with the Eighth Army in North Africa.
Andrew Male@andrewmale.bsky.social · last wk.Bizarre things that happened in your assembly: A neighbour of one of the teachers gave us a five-minute lecture about kwashiorkor which involved him reciting a list of his favourite words (yes, ‘kwashiorkor’ was one of them). Included the unforgettable phrase, “Diarrhoea, another beautiful word.”
I would there were no age between sixteen and three-and-twenty, or that youth would sleep out the rest; for there is nothing in the between but getting wenches with child, wronging the ancientry, stealing, fighting William Shakespeare (He wasn't much wrong there)
The pace will keep you on your toes, but you probably need to listen to this, all of it.
Rodrigo Saldaña Zárate@rodrigosz0.bsky.social · 2w agoA hidden gem, a hard to stumble into @doctorow.pluralistic.net interview where he goes harder than usual on the "we're building Skynet, we need to be stopped, and we happen to have this bill written by our Lobbyists that will *really* show us!" extended universe. youtu.be/TfvcuqpTSWE
A touching moment.
David Ho@davidho.bsky.social · 2w agoYour feel-good story of the day: This 12-year-old kid who went viral at the 2021 Tour of Britain has signed for a Dutch grassroots club and development team that's a feeder partner of Team Visma-Lease a Bike (the team of the rider who gave him the bidon). www.cyclingnews.com/pro-cycling/...

I am now bionic with a post-cataract lens, which fortunately did not have to get smuggled out of Contraxia. It's working.
Jason Arday was driven to suicide but this is what counts as normal at Cambridge. It was never about standards. It was always about maintaining white male mediocrity.

I would like to assume that everyone has watched '100 Years of Solitude', or that they will. Really superb film work, on top of a truly expansive novel.
SLOES - 480g off the bushes I planted 13 years ago - a first crop. Now drying after a wash. Not too early if they come off the stalk easily, but always better than too late, as the rains will soon wash them off the bush.
Name this movie from two lines of the script. "I thought we had a deal." "Where's your other friend?" Respond, and offer two lines from a different movie.

This little bear had had enough, but he kept to his job ofproviding fresh air to the people indoors.
Just put up a shelf - six holes, six plugs, six screws, and two brackets for a 1m60 white plank. Spirit level in attendance. Plus two extra grip screws. Got to keep the crime novels separated: Italian on one wall, French on the other.
As it's #WorldPhotographyDay I'm going to floo ... no, of course I wouldn't do such a thing, but here's one portrait photo taken nearly twenty years ago. Old camera, young kid, garden fork, split second opportunity ...
