Learned a bunch of fantastic new phrases lately: 1. Token-bound — when one’s performance is limited by a lack of AI tokens. 2. Trad programmer (or coder) — someone who writes code by hand. 3. Token laundering — when you let a colleague Slack you a prompt to run with your own AI allowance.
Three things I built lately: madcp - MCP harness: invoicing, Basecamp, Toggl, HEY, X, Bluesky (more to come) mcpme - shell access to my device aicli - chat with AI from the shell Try them, tell me what you think. Feels like first touching a computer and seeing the internet.
Please someone explain to me why installing an OS on a computer in under 1 minute is so important, and why millionaires care so much about this. How many times a day do they format their hard drive, and why? Is this a compulsive disorder? Do they have a secret agenda? The world deserves to know.

I may be late to the party, but I installed the Infuse app last night and it’s awesome! Currently using it for streaming from a NAS to the Apple TV and it just works great. Not free, but worth every €c. 🧑🍳💋
I'm looking forward to my niblings being old enough to enjoy coding with me. Thing is, I suspect their jam would be very different from mine. As in "let's make a videogame of a cat jumping on the screen", and not "let's stream the uploaded image directly to S3 without touching the disk". We'll see.

I've just deployed a major refactoring of Lovli's frontend, which is MUCH lighter on static assets. I've dropped Pico CSS (in favor of Tailwind, -65KB) and a whole icon font (-300KB). I've also fixed some UI glitches that have been bothering me since day one. HMU if you see anything weird! lovli.fyi
