I'm a big believer in the "Madoka rule": Watch at least 3 episodes of a show to determine whether or not you'll continue it! Pilots aren't always the best and 2nd episodes sometimes just barely expand on it but especially for a linear story, sticking around for a 3rd can make all the difference!
As an autistic woman who finds community and socialising a lot harder than it should be, I've recently realised how important both of those things are to my craft as a teacher and an animator/games designer.
