Had to cut out of AAPT early to head to the @calbridge.bsky.social Doctoral Summer Institute, but at least I was rewarded with our ice cream cart for afternoon breaks!

In the spirit of #AAPTSM26 and me climbing to the back of my closet looking for high school punk rock Sara photos, here is my first AAPT membership card I found!
Excited to be heading to Pasadena tomorrow for #AAPTSM26. Any physics friends here going?
Proud to be part of the great work that @calbridge.bsky.social does! (Even if most of it has become people-wranging and light scolding about due dates.) calmatters.org/education/20...
STEM isn't always welcoming to diversity. A California college program aims to shift that
A state-funded program is trying to diversify the sciences by providing mentors, relationship-building, stipends and more.

Pre-gamed graduation enough to finally order PhD regalia from Stony Brook because I am jealous of my colleagues with cooler robes than my generic Amazon ones.

Currently reviewing internal grants and, I'm not sure if this is in the instructions but if it is, faculty should be penalized in the rankings if they put their names in what is supposed to be an anonymous proposal.
My department is hiring and looking for a physicist to join us! We are a lot of fun and have lots of candy and snacks so if that doesn't convince you to apply I don't know what will. (Also feel free to share this!) careers.csusb.edu/en-us/job/55...
