Lovely to see Common Fleabane at RSPB Conwy today surviving in the damp areas. Was delighted to have a Clouded Yellow butterfly drop in while I was taking pictures. Also Perennial Sow thistle with its yellow sticky glandular hairs and the delicate umbels of Upright Hedge Parsley. #wildflowerhour

No sign of the WR Heron yesterday but nice to see a Green Sand distantly last eve at RSPB Conwy, calling as it flew in. Also a few Redshank about, one Greenshank yesterday, 2 Little Ringed Plovers & around 40 Curlew. An adult Med Gull has been present the last few days also. #birdingwales

Aided by good light yesterday I was pleased to spot two Med gulls at RSPB Conwy on the Deep Lagoon in a large group of Black H gulls . Not an everyday sighting here. Distant but the red bill and black hood of an adult stood out & a first winter bird was not as obvious. #birdingwales #ukbirding
Went along to the River Clwyd at Rhyl to see the lovely Lesser Yellowlegs again this week. I was actually hoping for the Water Pipit and was totally delighted when it walked into the shot as I was videoing the Yellowlegs! See circled inset. Although distant it made my day! #birdingWales #ukbirding
