Major action bar overhaul in our #godotengine tRPG! #indiedev #gamedev Inspired by the cleanest, most straightforward tactical RPG UIs. Actions dynamically filter and categorise, with action pips and contextual input by default. Aiming to avoid annoying popups, clunky resizing, and hidden options.

Even on higher levels, one of the most satisfying situations, I've found, is where you can fire off a big aoe Heal hitting both a bunch of friends and a bunch of undead at the same time, such as in this Four-Leaf Clover battle, where an enemy ghost-ship pirate attempts to board your vessel!

Testing out level creation (using #godotengine editor) & automatic setting of allowed traversal types of cells (e.g. flying, climbing, walking) for pathfinding. Here we built Bob a little house, he climbs up, strides upstairs to the top floor, then goes back down the stairs. #gamedev #indiedev

Designing our narrative for our tactical RPG inspired by a 4000 year old story- the epic of Gilgamesh It's got everything you need for a fantasy game - A quest for immortality, bargains with gods, omens, companions, scorpion people, and even a divine innkeeper!😆 Love this translation too #IndieDev

Gilgamesh. A new translation by Sophus Helle.

Your warrior thrashes through the drowned halls of Irkalla. Water rises. The serpent-dragon queen crashes close behind He scrambles into a narrow crevasse...the rocks close in, keeping the beast out A cage of safety For now 👉🏽 Imagining our pathfinding as a micro-scene... #indiedev #gamedev #godot

Pathfinding in our 3D tactical RPG made in #godotengine now adjusts graph for unit size. Unit of size 2x2 here can traverse the swimming cells (yellow spheres) because there is 2x2 space, but cannot traverse the climbing cells (prisms) because they are only 1 cell wide. #gamedev #indiedev
