I met with the Karen Organization of San Diego – which serves families of Burmese descent – and met kids in their summer camp! We also visited PANA's Global Marketplace, which supports refugee-owned businesses like Doh Doh Coffee, the first Karen-owned coffee shop in San Diego.

The United States gives billions of dollars in weapons and training to foreign militaries every year. I just introduced a bill to make sure that it goes to militaries that respect human rights, follow the law, and aren’t corrupt.
