Ride for Your Life 2026 was on June 13, 2026. We were fortunate to have Doug Kramble (father of Natasha Fox) and Gordon Holtslander (Past Chair of Saskatoon Cycles) in attendance to speak about loss, safety, and the need for community action. These tragedies must not happen again.
We build vehicles that weigh 9000 pounds with 1000HP, can go 0-60mph in 3 seconds and market them recklessly. We then ask people to wear construction vests to cross the street. This is all so beyond absurd and it's truly incredible that we've normalized this.
When we launched the #1HourCityConspiracy campaign, calling out the lies & disinformation about 15-Minute Cities, @carlosmorenofr.bsky.social (originator of the game-changing Paris program) weighed in with strong support. “The real ‘urban conspiracy’ isn’t proximity, it’s distance.” #UrbanTruth
ICYMI: The One-Hour City Conspiracy! “Here's the REAL conspiracy: Too many people are forced into car-dependent lives, with more health harms, crashes, noise, air pollution, social isolation —& less space for everything our streets should be giving us.” Thx @usa.streetsblog.org #1HourCityConspiracy
Volunteers make a community strong! Thank you to all of the people who have helped out with our Bike Valet program so far in 2026! With your help, we've already parked over 600 bikes, and made cycling to events more accessible for everyone! Get more details here: saskatooncycles.org/bike-valet/
We had a great time with the East Side Rolls Community Bike Day on June 13! Through our Keep Rolling program, we provided some free bikes and helmets, the Tune-Up Tent, and some safe cycling instruction in Rosewood. Big props to our friend Yombo, who provided the bulk of the organizing!

A ride and vigil honoring CDOT worker Riley O'Neil was held in Bridgeport. He died after being hit by a vehicle in an unprotected bike lane, the very kind he dedicated his career to replacing. Find this story on CBSChicago.com.
