Since being elected as the MLA for Saskatoon Meewasin, I have been hearing concerns from residents of King Edward about cleanliness and security. We have repeatedly written to the minister of social services on these issues. Yesterday we joined seniors in calling on the govt to take action now!

Seniors at King Edward Place are living in fear. You can’t just throw people with addictions challenges into a seniors’ home and cross your fingers that it will be cohabit-able. Now seniors who have called this building home for years now feel like prisoners in their own homes.

Those who spread hate speech should not have a seat at the table of government. Any other workplace and Racquel Hilbert would be gone. For years, this Premier has allowed the bar for MLA conduct to fall lower and lower. This is an opportunity for him to show leadership.

Honestly. A disturbing level of hate that has no place here. Racquel Hilbert’s apology was an embarrassment - its weakness, delivery, timing. The Sikh community - and indeed all Saskatchewan people - expect and deserve so much better.

As my colleague Tajinder Grewal, who I have the honour of sharing an office with said: “The comments made by this Sask. Party MLA are deeply hurtful and hateful to the Sikh community - A community which contributes so much to our province…Racism has no place in our province” I echo these words

The comments that have emerged from a Sask. Party MLA today are deeply hateful and hurtful. The apology issued by Racquel Hilbert does little to ease the pain caused by her initial comments, which were clearly and premeditated and written out in advance before being delivered in the Legislature.

Do you know what's *assured* by the Sask Party’s shameful Saskatchewan Assured Income for Disabilty (SAID) program? Answer: Struggling to survive while being forced to live below the poverty line. We're demanding better.

The Sask. Party just handed $60 million to a U.S. company that bankrolls Trump and their own campaign — without even opening it to bids. Saskatchewan deserves better. Sign the petition and demand accountability at: saskndp.ca/60million #skpoli

The disturbing rise in overdoses and deaths due to this mental health and addiction crisis is alarming. But the minister won't acknowledge that their plan isn't working and with devastating results. The SaskParty needs to step up and offer support to families and communities struggling to hang on.

20 by 2020? The Sask. Party’s carbon tax has been mismanaged from day one, so Scott Moe gets zero credit for removing it. Now, we have a SP govt with NO PLAN to address the trade war, NO PLAN to create jobs, and a $432-million HOLE in the budget they’re asking the Legislature to vote on Thursday.

The SK Party announced a 12 million dollar balanced budget 8 days. Over the last two years, they’ve missed their budget by over 750 million in special warrants for each of the past two years. Today, they have already announced 400 million in lost revenue. Give us a believable budget to vote on!

You deserve a government that’s focused on you and focused on the future. The 25/26 Budget has nothing in it for workers as we stare down tariffs that will be devastating for Canadian workers, businesses and industries. Nothing for workers, and cuts to education and healthcare. You deserve better.
