So just over 3 years ago my step father passed away. We were not particularly close as I was an adult when he and my mother married. She gave me his first gen Google Pixel watch and I wore it every day. 2 days ago it just fell apart and for some reason it hit me hard.

I live across the street from a high school football and track stadium. During football season it is fireworks that scare the hell out of my dogs, during track it is starting pistols. Today is a track day.

Yep and as Sam says we can't afford to anyway. Hell my wife and I need to move to a single story dwelling but that takes money as well. We won't even start talking about how difficult it is to develop good relationships with the medical providers we need.

Fun reminder disabled people generally cannot flee to other nations for sanctuary from increasing fascist dangers of eugenics. Including disabled people part of other marginalized communities (trans, otherwise queer, BIMPOC, etc.). We are literally barred from immigration due to being “burdens”.

Not endorsing this course of action however I do believe that many of these cameras rely on a single solar panel. In theory that means a paint ball launcher at range or a balloon filled with paint may be able to temporarily disable the system. www.jalopnik.com/2115482/lice...

My lovely wife keeps surprising me with D&D miniatures. I love them but I haven't painted in over a decade and of course those paints are well past dead. Anyone have recommendations on inexpensive paints.

At times I needed financial help. At times I was able to provide financial help. So why is it that now that I'm right between those two spots I feel guilty that I can't help?

So this is Daisy, she had to go to the emergency vet. Turns out she has an abscessed tooth that will have to be removed. Not sure how we are going to manage that financially but it IS going to happen.

I'm not going to lie, this last year around the sun has been rough on me both mentally and physically. My wife and I are putting some things in place to help with the latter. It's going to a be long road but we are going to do our best.

I'm on disability and have Medicare and I'm scared right now about what is happening and how fast it is happening. I would say that he would be stopped by legal action but the Supreme Court already cleared the way.

Yesterday I had my long awaited Ortho-Bionomy appointment for my back. I'm doing so much better now, or at least I'm not about to blackout from pain every time a stand up. I can also sit at my computer with a tolerable amount of pain.
