Not every book is "in the system." Some require copy cataloging while others original cataloging. Sausalito Library processes batches of such items by hand using time-honored methods, applying that artisanal touch for your maximum enjoyment.

Come contribute to the creation of a local zine! The Longstride is creating a compilation of lists written by folks around the Bay. Inspired by an exhibit at the Museum of Everyday Life in Vermont, this edition will strive to make you fall back into love with humanity through the sharing of lists.

Join us this Friday, May 22 at 6:00 p.m. in the library for an evening of readings from the Sausalito Historical Society's “Authors” exhibit celebrating the town’s literary legacy. The exhibit is a curated tribute to the diverse literary figures who once called this waterfront community home.
We visited the downtown branch of the Lexington Public Library in Kentucky. What an amazing place! It was roomy, had a pendulum, friendly staff, and an awesome Friends of the Library bookstore in the basement. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore. These few photos don't do it justice.
