A lot of modern media instills this idea that we alone with enough strength can do anything we want, when in reality we live in a community of individuals who collectively work towards goodness, and you never know how the chaos of the universe will lead us to a better future. It’s not all on you.

While Frodo does show perseverance and strength, it was the fellowship that guided him. It was Aragorn and his army at the black gate that distracted Sauron’s eye, Sam who carried him to Mount Doom, and ultimately Gollum in his obsession who destroys the ring.

Something I think a lot about Lord of the Rings is how one of the messages is that there isn’t a chosen one, that you individually cannot achieve this monumental task but it’s giving yourself to the universe and trusting that a combination of many individuals will get it done.

Content simply about how expensive your cards/deck are is garbage and I strongly dislike this trend in Magic If we want less bounties and collector chase cards taking already expensive product "to the moon" alongside price gouging, then maybe a culture of "this is a game" is needed more than ever

Gaming spaces that didn't stamp down hard enough on the incel culture ends up shooting themselves in the foot because now other players are less likely to enter your space and you're beholden to a mass of culture warriors who don't even play but use your expensive product as cheap engagement.

The only timeline worth seeing on social media is a chronological one of just the people you follow. Don't let algorithms determine what you see and what opinions and media gets promoted. Follow some homies and look at their beautiful curated posts. You'll be happier. Also your feed isn't infinite.
