Saw Peep Pan-Asian Ensemble

@sawpeep.bsky.social

Kentuckiana based music ensemble performing music from all over Asia including folk tunes, art music, and original compositions by Asian and Asia diasporic composers. @silpayamanant.bsky.social artistic director and founder.

Our string section is less than a year old now--we just welcomed Cathy (violin) and Sarah (cello) to their first rehearsal with us Sun as we revisited some rep we used to play from the SWANA region as well as tunes from East & Southeast Asia! Video: Excerpt of Mohamed El Mougy's "Tamr Henna"

Saw Peep Pan-Asian Ensemble had a wonderful time performing the 'Louisville American 250: "Dawn's Early Light"! So many wonderful and powerful stories/music by Indigenous peoples, Black Americans, and a wide variety of other groups to shed light on different types of celebrations!
