It’s the exhaustion of being alive to deal with life. It’s ridiculous. It’s pointless. Life is pointless. Why do we put ourselves through this everyday? There’s no need. We should be done with this all. Together. No suffering. No continuation. No impositions. Just blissful non-existence. Exit bag.

What drug does the FritoLay company put in Doritos to make them so irresistible?!!!
Not one. Not two. Three microwaved golden potatoes. They were topped with butter, salt, and pepper. They were glorious.

Writing this novel is like being possessed, not by demons, not by obsession, not by inspiration, but by the nameless qualities that lead one to be witness to a part of history forgotten by most. It is an excavation of Greek women’s history and a testament to their resilience.

Archaeologists everywhere are celebrating the unearthing of the largest dinosaur tibia ever discovered. It’s going to be quite the shindig. #notsorry
It’s fascinating to me how many politicians complain that we don’t have enough money for things. Six or seven people have all of the money. We know where it is. Let’s go get it.
My debut novel is coming out this September. Available for preorder now. I will be narrating the audiobook. What would happen to science fiction if it were subjected to ascetic practice? What if the exhaustion of life’s continuance need not be? This is a book of endings.
Excited to announce this book, coming in late September - available for preorder all over in eBook and paperback on Amazon - the debut novel for @saxonaudio.bsky.social SILENCE: THE RED ASCESIS universal buy link here: books2read.com/u/mdpDKX
10 months ago I weighed 367 lbs. I now weigh 296 as of this morning. Only 96 more lbs to go.
The ultimate goal is accuracy. Once you break through the illusory veil over life you see things as they are. No interpretation. No meaning. We layer meaning because we must. Otherwise life becomes unbearable. But it is unbearable. That is accurate. You can cease to be persuaded by living.
Each morning arrives intact, punctual, unashamed. The sun does not ask whether we require another day. It imposes one.
The universe does not owe us meaning. Explanation does not redeem experience. The desire for meaning is a childish demand for the world to make sense.
The Great Refusal is not the refusal of life. It is the refusal of the lie that life must continue even when continuation has become empty habit.
Silence is not emptiness. Silence is the absence of unnecessary speech.
Endurance, when stripped of illusion, is often just compliance. #thoughtoftheday #mentalhealth #clarity #accuracy #asceticism
Exhaustion is a legitimate endpoint. I do not advocate suicide, which I see as a theatrical demand for authorship, but rather the cessation of negotiation. When desire, hope, and the habit of running have been exhausted, stopping without apology is not failure but completion.
Promote within yourself the refusal of illusion. Most human systems are veils over the raw truth: existence is a struggle of hunger and exhaustion. The ascetic withdraws not because life is vile, but because it is loud and deceptive. Strip away ornament until only accuracy remains.
Pursue accuracy over meaning. The highest pursuit is not happiness, heroism, or legacy, but accuracy. Seeing reality without the consolations of narrative, hope, or redemption. Suffering, effort, and death are not ennobled by interpretation. They simply are.
Life is not sacred, it is a condition. I reject the Earth-bound belief that life has inherent value or that continuation of life is a virtue. Instead, I see life as a temporary, unsupported process that continues only as long as conditions permit, without moral or metaphysical reward.
Pain is not inherently meaningful. Meaning is layered onto pain by systems that reward explanation. If you stop explaining. If you refuse the reward. Does the pain still have meaning? You don’t need to answer that. You only need to endure it. Or not.
The sexualization of young teen girls in A Song of Ice and Fire still bothers me to this day.
Remove what can fail. Simplify. Distrust complexity because complexity hides where it will break. Do not admire systems; interrogate them for their failure modes. The goal is not elegance. The goal is what remains when elegance is removed.
All life consumes. The owl consumes the vole. The person will consume the bodies that sustain them. The universe consumes everything. There is no cruelty in this. There is also no kindness. There is only hunger, and the satisfaction of hunger, and then hunger again.
