i've been hammering it home a lot lately but it feels like due to the last two years more trans and nonbinary people have become acutely aware that the "trans summer" will never arrive unless there is a way to put a dent in sex / sexing the body by any means necessary
100% agree, im so tired of how far i have to go w obfuscating things about myself in order for people to not just assume my assigned gender and act on that instead of my actual gender
that means no more "i'm biologically male/female" "i'm afab/amab" btw. dropping associations with assigned sex. there's better ways to talk about this, & i guarantee you that experiences of gendered violence among trans and nonbinary people are not just based on body metaphysics or temporal events.
to me, this is basically the only way we can actually make progress on two goals: that trans people are understood wholly as the gender they say they are, and that nonbinary people are not simply "male nonbinary and female nonbinary". it seriously requires ending sex.
this isn't a "who do i think is and isn't legitimately trans or nonbinary" post i have no interest in litigating that and anyone who says they are trans or nonbinary is, to me, trans or nonbinary, regardless of what they look like or do. i'm talking about what we want "trans politics" to be.
the only requirement is dropping assigned sex. it's more a promise, than anything, to say that if you're taking not being cis seriously you reject the category of cisness it imposes on you (assigned sex).
or surgical requirements. it does not mean you aren't read as a man or a woman by wider society, it does not mean you don't experience misogyny. it doesn't mean you don't have certain organs or functions. it doesn't even mean you can't have a relationship to manhood or womanhood.
i think the bare minimum for trans politics is dropping association w/ your assigned sex. this can mean not having a sex at all, this can mean that your sex is neither male nor female but nonbinary, this can mean you're changing sex, etc. it requires no medical
Sonic character design i saw in a dream recently (not 1:1 accurate sadly)
What if Amy Bellegrave met Morrigan Darkstalkers? I don't think they'd be friends 🦇👿
getting an omnitrix just so i can turn into a galvanic mechamorph to upgrade my computer (ignore the fact that the omnitrixs galvanic mechamorph transformation is incomplete and so the upgrade only lasts as long as i am inside it shhhhhh let me dream)
Nurse Morrigan was super fun to draw, the sticker came out way longer than I'd like, but it looks preem
