I like malamutes, books, and science. I follow the news because I have to not because I want to.
I have been thinking a lot about AI and whether it is overall good or bad and whether it really is transformatively powerful yet. I think if the AI companies want to get people on-side and demonstrate its utility then they should solve a real problem with it.
#booksky I recently read The Rise and Fall of the Neoliberal Order. I found it to be broad and thin and occasionally prone to editorializing. That being said it was a useful guide to recent political history in the US.
#booksky I recently read Rebecca Yarros 4th wing. Not really a Romantasy fanboy but I found it to be serviceable fantasy. It is very character driven and location bound. The world building is limited primarily to a single organization and social class
#booksky Currently reading Ian Banks Use of Weapons don’t like it as much as Player of Games but I generally like the culture series. Each book is like the serious parts of a Rick and Morty episode in a gritty star trek setting. It is weird. It is interesting. It is what I am into.
