Since the early 2000s to get a seamless gearshift #F1 gearboxes run two selectors, one controls odd gears, the other even gears. But the gearbox needs to know the exact position of each gear, which is done by a process called 'learning' Without this, the shifts have to be slower

These fwings are getting interesting fast. The underside have strakes to build rotation into the inwash caused by the wing elements. A raised leading edge is followed by a closing tunnel, increasing the pressure delta under the footplate powering these strakes. This rotation likely merges dstream

Red Bull have retained some elements of the Monaco high downforce rear wing for the #BarcelonaGP. The forward SLM pod wing has been kept, as are the V shaped trailing edge extensions. The middle trailing edge extension has been replaced by a V shaped cut out. #F1 #F1tech
