This, more than anything else, is policy that would make the biggest positive difference in every American’s day to day life. Every single person in every American city would be happier with this. But we don’t even sniff it because the auto lobby works day and night to make sure we don’t.

To carry 50,000 people per hour in each direction, a city needs a 175m wide road for cars. Even if those cars are electric. And then there’s all the parking. OR a city can move A LOT MORE people in a lot less space, with A LOT LESS public money, emissions, pollution, noise etc. Choices. Simple.

And it lands on exactly this- If you ask “what do moderate Dems stand for?” The answer is: “Nothing Republicans don’t already stand for way more” Moderate Democrats are JV Republicans. Americans don’t want to stand for half of a philosophy. They want politicians who will fight for a better life.

Van Jones missing that people mobilize and vote for something positive. Doubling down on asking people to vote “not that!” against Democratic Socialism as well as MAGA Fascism doesn’t work. Give people something they are voting FOR. Inspired people. That’s the lesson lost from Obama.

Hey I did the hot ones challenge (and I’m fairly good w spicy food) and lemme just say- all the celebs are underselling how intense da bomb is. They’re very prepared and practiced. But it ruins your day.
