other peoples' dreams: having super powers, impossible spaces my dreams: a friend coming over to my place and insisting that I dig out the sega genesis so that we can play Toki

Gamedev/3D artist/Guitarist. Lead developer on Compound Fracture. Gen-AI can suck a fat fart out of my pale white ass
obsessed with the controller for this aliexpress robot dog. the completely solid body mold that was clearly made from an xbox one controller complete with non-functioning shoulder/trigger buttons and face buttons like "Act Cute" and "Urinate" is truly a thing of beauty
the hell do you mean the base game doesn't come with the digital game manual lmao
just noticed that on the guitar hero 3 key/box art, the character Judy is playing a right-handed guitar as if she were left handed, even though in-game she is right handed and Gibson did produce a left-handed version of the guitar she is using lol
Found out that the band Death was from central Florida which was surprising and cool. I did an all-layers instrumental cover of like 22 seconds of their song 'Story to Tell' if unfinished covers of 28 year old death metal songs are your thing lol soundcloud.com/theschaeff/d...
Death - Story to Tell (partial instrumental cover)
A short "full band" instrumental cover of a favorite Death song of mine. Equipment used: some cheap 14 year old ibanez gio, podxt/podfarm, GGD modern and massive 2, GGD nolly bass library, reaper DAW.

facebook showing me a post by my relative about their sick dog and asking me if I'm "interested" or "not interested" in the post is peak social media lol💀
in a perfect world they would fund a toy story 5 video game tie-in where you play as the discarded potty-training device and they would let me develop it
@ompu.co happy birthday my fellow sex day birthday haver 💪
been making games in some capacity for nearly 18 years and just now noticed that there's back/forward buttons in visual studio. Well, that certainly makes things easier lmao
i have faith in my sources so maybe they're saving this one for the next state of play or the game awards or something
the absolute whiplash of getting facebook poked for the first time in 15 years
i know dark souls 2 came out like 12 years ago but I just noticed this and sorta feel compelled to share it anyways
pretty pleased with how dino movement is coming together. no physics, no IK, no path post-processing. Just simple A* pathfinding, some additive head/tail bend animations, and a looot of carefully tweaked code lol youtu.be/GtXeTjHmBRo
this is what we in the industry call "crittermaxxing"

Just realized my DMs were set to only mutuals. If you have been trying to reach out, that should be possible again lol oops
Owned mech platoon on gba as a child for probably over a year before making it past the tutorial. I'd hit the button to build something then hit the next button that popped up (the cancel building button) forever trapping myself in a loop of starting and canceling construction lol
Puzzle in a game you remember taking you forever to figure out when you were a kid?
The only downside to adding the lighting-only debug mode is that every time a chunk of level gets built I can't help myself from toggling it over and over lol
A (somewhat simplified) look at the light baking in Compound Fracture. All entirely custom, vertex based, and completely separate from Unity's light baking.
made an abandoned/overgrown variation of the compound fracture car. i'm at like 130 or so layers in photoshop but we don't have to talk about that
One of my favorite printing errors is on the band Veil of Maya's 2008 release, The Common Man's Collapse. It features classic template labels such as "Spine Window" and "Under Disc". Spine window is especially rough since it can be seen basically at all times lol.
had to get a biopsy done on my jaw which sucks but it did compel me to write this song so that's cool I guess lol soundcloud.com/theschaeff/c...
Corrode (Demo)
Another demo from my upcoming album.

will never not be funny that these games are made by the same developer
Some people held on to/preserved boxed toys or trading cards from the 90s. My family held on to Tyco's The Incredible Crash Dummies... dinnerware.
toy designers in 2002 be like "donkey kong... dodge ram... and don't even THINK about painting the details on the front"
colgate really knows how to get the consumer excited
