Part 1 of some of the music that made me. Gotta make part 2 soon…

The most streamed Finnish language songs on Spotify each year between 2020 and 2026. UMK is literally carrying. Especially from 2022 onwards. #Eurovision 🇫🇮 youtu.be/_t9k-nuSIPk?...

Hopefully CDs come back for real now. I remember browsing the megastores back in the 2000s, previewing albums, going to the jazz and world music sections, discovering 80s music (still obsessed), finding the goodies in the bargain section… Honestly, it was better than therapy. ❤️ 💿
Sunday’s referendum on RTVSLO funding could be crucial for our future in ESC btw. The disgrace that is the current govt wants to abolish TV licence fee under the pretext of “not having to pay for things that the society doesn’t use”, but in reality, they want to influence free speech.
90s was a fascinating time. Oprah started with spiritual self help books in her show. Yoga, meditation and pilates classes were all the rage and it also reflected in fashion (mid-90s hippie style) and music. These take me back to childhood. ❤️ Bangers, all 4 of them…
If the ESC on tour didn’t flop, I’m curious which ones of the Vienna 2026 lineup would have been included. I guess Dara, Linda & Pete, Delta, Søren, Akylas, Leleka, Satoshi, Alexandra, LMNC and Felicia?
We’re having 4 referendums on Sunday. Gonna vote No on all counts. Want to get rid of the embarrassment that is the current govt asap. Also RTVSLO funding is at stake as the govt wants to pull a 🇨🇿 on it…
William Vaesen, Camille Dhont’s manager has some interesting follows on Insta. Do we have our first artist for Burgas? #Eurovision 🇧🇪👀
Ho ho ho, it’s the Aftonbladet/Expressen Melfest 2027 leaks time! 🎄 According to Expressen, E.M.D. are back to Melfest after 18 years. They took part as a group in 2009 and as the interval act in the final in 2026. But all 3 have taken part as soloists as well.
Looking at the pics and videos of Anna Vissi’s OAKA concert. How the heck does she manage to look younger now than in 2006?! Some of her outfits… slay. 👑 Hope it’ll be broadcasted on ERT for Xmas/NYE or something, I’d love to see a TV version of it.
POV: you did one stone cold banger in the 2010s and disappeared quickly afterwards…
I legit think that 🇹🇷 could have done back to back win had they sent Sertab with “Here I Am” in 2004. That song and the whole “No Boundaries” album is bangers only ❤️ youtu.be/8atJYRVFWmc?...

Damn, Dutch/Flemish cartoonists have had a field day since Wednesday, haven’t they?

jESC is a funny competition. You have 16-ish countries competing and in the end 🇫🇷 wins.
Oh VRT are getting roasted on Insta. “Spine borrowed from Ed Sheeran?” ☠️💀
The fact that EBU has overcome the boycott and that we’re set to maybe get 40 countries for 2027, they really are like cats and have nine lives… #Eurovision

I guess the artist pool for 🇧🇪 gets very limited as basically everyone who’s someone in the industry (with veeery few exceptions) is outspoken about Gaza, also past entrants, like Laura Tesoro, Luka, Geike, Gustaph, Red Seb, also past Eurosong finalists like Cherine. #Eurovision
I know that ideally that State should be removed from it all, but since that's not realistic, that's the battle those willing to fight for it have to take.
Not only this year a part of their rigging was neutralized and more measures against it have been taken, but also their international reputation are in an all-time low and not even casual vieweres believe that they take part in complete good faith.
The other is that only by staying involved, that we as fans can fight to have that state's rigging and obnoxious attitudes neutralized as much as possible, and there are already a few visible changes, not as much as it should, but there are some.
At this point, there are basically just two things that still keep me going about Eurovision. One is the need to protect it from being co-opted by the far right, since it still stands one of the few inclusive and liberal cultural events in Europe, despite the recent turmoils.
The way I’m more looking forward to UMK, Melfest and NFs in general than ESC once again is so sad tbh. That godforsaken country and their supporters are making something I love from the bottom of my heart a living hell and it’s so weird navigating it all…
It would be a major Ijbol moment if the parliamentary inquiry on 🇬🇧 ESC results ended up with all the MPs going like “We should totally send Steps!” Because that’s totally what the boomer/older gen X MPs who last watched ESC when Bucks Fizz won would say 🤣
Back when I still used to buy music on iTunes. This totally should have won DE 2019. ❤️🇫🇷 #Eurovision
