I don’t really use AI. I have used copilot specifically for searching digital textbooks. It’s also a useful tool to generate practice problems from specific digital textbooks. I don’t use any of the other chat or generative AI services. I think and do for myself. Yes, ban AI. I’d be fine.

I am a daughter of war heroes and the widow of a veteran. Let me tell you what the war heroes and the veteran told me. They didn’t sacrifice so you could lay down and lick the boots of the politicians who sent them to die. They didn’t sacrifice so you could applaud fascists. War is hell.

Nuance is lost in AI. If we’re talking measurements in a scientific sense, yes it’s great. If we’re talking nuanced reports from reliable/unreliable texts/authors…AI is useless. The humanities rely on nuance bc there’s nothing purely logical about humans…we are not instruments with defined units.
