Former Consul. Reluctant conqueror. I watched Rome defeat its rivals yet lose itself. Democracy dies when ambition outruns institutions, wealth captures politics, and citizens forget their common fate. Defend the Republic before you're forced to mourn it.

Media & Political Elite cultivates idea that part of country that is rich w/ low crime & high opportunity & embraces freedom (where they choose to live) is "bad" and we should be more like party of country that is poor w/ high crime & low opportunity & diminished freedom (where they refuse to live).

"if new york goes left, all the business money will move away" reality: business people like living in nyc and dont actually want to live in red states or podunk www.wsj.com/us-news/mamd...

Even some of the mayor’s biggest targets aren’t ready to abandon the city. Griffin, who threatened to halt work on a new Park Avenue tower, is moving forward with the $6 billion construction project. Bill Ackman, the hedge fund billionaire who has long been one of Mamdani’s fiercest critics, spent $260 million this summer for new buildings to house a brain research center on Manhattan’s west side.

Is the potential new AG unqualified because (1) he is supporting cover-up of Trump/Epstein's massive child sex-trafficking (2) he weaponizes DOJ against Trump's enemies (3) he steals money from Treasury to enrich Trump's friends (4) trying to give immunity of Trump Family crimes? Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes.

Tariffs: massive tax on working families, crushed economic alliances while no help to manufacturing War on Iran: crushed military alliances while making Iran powerful & sympathetic War on Minneapolis: showed US strength of The People in face or brutal oppression Doge: killed 100,000s while ...

Strategic Maxim: “Don't fight the last war” Department of Defense: no worries, we have literally learned nothing from Russian invasion of Ukraine, US wars against Iraq & Afghanistan, or literally any modern warfare. We make our soldiers bulk up on T!

Republicans: we want to protect women and women's sports! Republicans: our policy is to back actual real-world abusers, sex traffickers, rapists. We will slash funding for women sports, which we mock. Corporate Media: Republicans protect women and women's sports!

(1) Very few people, even retired with money, have time to play as much golf as Trump does as president (2) 70 seems a little too ambitious of lie (similar to Putin at ice hockey, but more realistic than Kim Jong-Il's 38 at golf) (3) Pretty freaking sad, pathetic, to brag after obviously cheating

Trump: “The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship! Thank you very much to all of those who participated. I won with a 70, & am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, bc I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it”

Trump: “The Winning Shot in the Bedminster Club Championship! Thank you very much to all of those who participated. I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things. It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Pretty darn crazy that academic, business, legal, media, political elite in 2025 were still risking everything on assumption Trump would not just lie about anything. Really makes you question the judgement of our academic, business, legal, media, political elite.

Trump “came up with a completely false quote saying I acknowledged things I never said. “My god." — Brad Karp, then the chairman of the law firm 2/2

Among the leadership of Paul Weiss, there was enthusiasm for resolving the executive order, according to multiple people involved. Even Ms. Dunn, who had helped the Harris campaign, pushed to finalize the deal.
"Let's get this done!!!!" Ms. Dunn wrote to Mr. Karp and other senior leaders in an email reviewed by The Times.

The media is desperate to find some reason why Elon Musk's politics are complicated or more sophisticated than they seem, because the simple truth is too ugly for them to admit - an actual Nazi is the world's wealthiest person, and his companies hold substantial American government contracts.

You are confusing corruption & policy. Trump's policy is to chase down every last non-white immigrant (regardless of status) abuse them and deport them. Trump's corruption allows him to exploit undocumented workers on his properties while he is doing it. You should apologize for this post.

Democratic candidate shown to have problems, Democrats push him out and replace him NYT: Democratic in Disarry! Republican congressman abuses wife and breaks child's collarbone. Republicans back him. NYT: Republican are unified!

Possible between: crypto scams, prediction markets, insider trading, real-estate “deals”, planes, pardons, rare metals, nuclear “deals”, defense contracts, Jared’s Saudi arrangement, UAE bribes, cash stolen from Venezuela Trump Family actually way over $10 billion.

Q: There's a report that the US has taken in $13b from Venezuela. Where is that money going? T: Even more Q: But where is it going? T: We've paid for that war many times over Q: Where is the money going? T: Running the country Q: No, the money US is taking in -- T: Running the country

NYT reporter blocked me because they really hate anyone pointing out they are collaborating against US with their daily sane-washing. They want US to lavish them with praise for their rare investigative reporting that shows US things we already knew months/years ago, drowned out by their daily love.

NYT feels good about themselves with isolated articles detailing Trump Family corruption, but they will casually report on: crypto, the predictions markets, the data center boom, rare-earths mining, and nuclear subsidies & regulations in coming weeks & months and fail to note Trump Family interests.

Post nicht verfügbar.

NYT has an impressive track-record of telling US we are wrong for a few years then thinking they are heroes when they finally come around to reality.

Have been a member of the @whca.bsky.social almost continuously since the 1990s. Our mission is to defend the First Amendment rights of White House correspondents to report on the president without fear or favor. Unfortunately last night did not advance that cause. Time to rethink the dinner.

War on Democratic cities & War on Iran will cost US over $trillion by end of 2028, many will die, we will be less free, less secure, less prosperous. Easy to get caught up in day-to-day follies of Trump’s assault on US, but important to tie into big picture narrative, which is truly terrible for US.

The National Guard Bureau will spend $292 million to provide a "long-term housing solution" for thousands of troop members deployed in DC in "apartment-style lodging units"

What NYT won’t tell US clearly (1) it is unconstitutional for President to raise taxes (2) new taxes will not increase US manufacturing, just depress US spending. Possible this is buried deep in the article, but it should be the lede.

The New York Times@nytimes.com · 2w ago

President Trump imposed new duties on imports from more than 80 countries. Now, many goods arriving from these countries will face tariffs between 10% and 12.5%. Here's a look at how they apply to the country’s largest trading partners. nyti.ms/4fj47nM

Constitution super clear that only Congress can levy taxes. Not only is this blatantly unconstitutional & illegal, it is bad for US workers & businesses, and toverall economy: but you will learn none of this from reading Bezos’ “pro-business” WaPo. Because it is really pro-Trump, not pro-business.

The Washington Post@washingtonpost.com · 2w ago

The Trump administration is expected to introduce permanent tariffs as soon as this week to replace the temporary import penalties it imposed after the Supreme Court abruptly upended President Trump’s trade strategy earlier this year.

Trump is absolutely going to try to cancel the election, it is absolutely illegal & unconstitutional, Corporate Media is going to normalize the possibility & validate his absurd lies, Supreme Court will take emergency hearings, Democrats will be weak & pathetic, but I am still confident we got this.
