It's always encouraging to see a room full of Mississippians who believe our democracy is worth fighting for! Thank you to Senator Alsobrooks, Congressman Thompson and Mississippi NAACP Executive Director Charles Taylor for the important conversation about protecting our freedom to vote.

Sixty-two years ago today, the FBI uncovered the bodies of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman & Michael Schwerner in Neshoba County. We honor their courage by refusing to take that freedom for granted & recognizing our responsibility to protect our right to vote & ensure every voice is heard.

Sixty-one years after the Voting Rights Act became law, the fight to protect our freedom to vote continues. Join me this Thursday, August 6, in Horn Lake for a community conversation about protecting voting rights and strengthening our democracy. I hope you'll be part of it.

We don’t have to see eye-to-eye on every issue, but I believe in finding things we have in common rather than letting every difference divide us. Something I know we can all agree on: too many communities across our state have been overlooked. We can do better and we can do it together.

Remember when Cindy Hyde-Smith told us to just pick a different protein when beef prices were skyrocketing? Looks like Mississippi is ready for a different kind of senator this November — one that won’t chicken out when families are struggling.

Today's special edition of Mississippi Matters Monday comes from Batesville, where I had a wonderful conversation with Eloise McClinton, the Executive Director of Mississippi Head Start, about why every child deserves a strong start.

With hundreds of thousands of Mississippians at risk of losing Medicaid coverage and families facing rising premiums, I sat down with the doctors and providers on the frontlines of our healthcare system. Mississippi deserves a senator who will listen, show up and fight for affordable healthcare.

You don't have to know someone to care about them. We all have a responsibility to fight for every Mississippi family. My wife Nadia & I were honored to host Senator Angela Alsobrooks & Mississippi healthcare leaders for a conversation about how we can ensure our moms get the care they deserve.

Proud to be in a room full of people who believe Mississippi’s brightest days are still ahead and that every voice deserves to be heard. As Senator Angela Alsobrooks reminded us, tell Lottie, Dottie and everybody to vote this November! #MississippiMatters

What a great morning of fellowship with Senator Angela Alsobrooks and so many members of the Divine Nine! When we're energized, organized and working together, there's nothing we can't accomplish.

Head Start has opened doors to endless opportunity by investing in our youngest Mississippians & providing them a lasting foundation for success. Today, we celebrate six decades of this transformational program & recommit ourselves to ensuring every child has the chance to learn, grow & succeed.

Mississippi has always been at the center of the fight for voting rights and that work is far from over. Join me this Saturday, August 1st, for a Voting Rights Townhall with U.S. Representative @BGThompsonMS and U.S. Senator @AlsobrooksForMD.

Mississippi shouldn't be one of the most dangerous places in America to become a mom. This Saturday, August 1st, I'm hosting a Mississippi Moms Matter healthcare conversation with my wife Nadia and U.S. Senator Angela Alsobrooks about what it will take to improve maternal healthcare.

Cindy Hyde-Smith has a long record of putting Washington and corporate interests ahead of Mississippians. Healthcare cuts. Higher costs. Farmers getting squeezed. I’m prosecuting the case against Cindy Hyde-Smith and holding her accountable for the choices she’s made.

I hear it everywhere I go in Mississippi: families are working hard and still falling behind. When even those helping others are struggling, it’s time for change. Mississippi has been betrayed for too long. We're ready to go in a new direction this November. #MississippiMatters

If you've worked hard, paid in and played by the rules, you've earned the benefits you were promised. Period. You have my word: I'll always fight to protect Medicare and Social Security.

Excited to share I'm hosting a Voting Rights Townhall alongside U.S. Representative Bennie Thompson and U.S. Senator Angela Alsobrooks! The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy and as attacks on the ballot box continue to ramp up, these conversations are more important than ever before.

Today’s Mississippi Matters Monday is a special edition highlighting an extraordinary woman in Tupelo: Carolyn Gray. For over 30 years, she and her husband fostered 250 children, giving them a loving place to call home. Stories like Carolyn’s are why I’m in this fight.

Mississippi moms matter. Join my wife Nadia, U.S. Senator Angela Alsobrooks and me for a conversation about maternal healthcare, protecting Mississippi families and how we can ensure every mom has access to high quality care. We can't wait to see you there. RSVP: bit.ly/4fI5efT

I had a great time at the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s Summer Breeze celebration. It was a great representation of their motto that “Friendship is Essential to the Soul.” Mississippi is stronger when we come together, build relationships and invest in our communities. #MississippiMatters

We’re 100 days out from Election Day, y’all. Over the last several months, I've met thousands of Mississippians across every corner of our state who are ready to go in a new direction. That's why this movement keeps growing stronger every day.

Vicksburg showed up today. This is bigger than one town hall — it’s Mississippians coming together and building a movement for a better future. Thank you to everyone who came out, shared concerns and told me directly how I will be able to best serve you in the Senate. We’re just getting started.

I spent some time with volunteers writing postcards to Mississippians who were purged from the voter rolls. If your vote didn't matter, they wouldn't be working so hard to keep you from casting it.

When politicians know there won't be consequences, corruption becomes the status quo. As a district attorney, I learned that laws only matter if you're willing to enforce them. That's exactly what's missing in Washington. I'm running for Senate to change that.

TOMORROW: I'm hosting a townhall in Vicksburg. I believe you can't represent Mississippi in Washington unless you're listening to the people who call this state home. So, stop by to ask questions, share what's on your mind or just to say hello! RSVP: bit.ly/44HilJ3

Cindy Hyde-Smith says catfish farmers need a bailout because inflation is crushing them. She's right about the problem. But why did she support policies that helped drive those costs up in the first place? 🧐
