Watched 'McVicar' tonight for the first time since 1987 maybe. Had totally forgot Ian Hendry, Brian Hall, Tony Haygarth and Ralph Watson were all in it. However, I do remember Georgina Hale baring her ass cheeks in a pinny cooking breakfast though. Funny how the mind works eh?

'How Grand Was My Guignol' indeed. What a tome this is. Pages 203 and 206 still shit me up. From the mists of time, my original 1973 copy bought at WH Smith & Son in Cowley Centre, Oxford.

One of my very earliest television memorys along with 'Sam on Boffs Island' was this utterly bizarre cartoon called 'Tomfoolery'. Very early 70s, 72/73 maybe. ATV? It was American, again unsure, and had a tall Insect type main character that basically introduced batshit type sketches and skits.

RIP Kevin Keegan. Utter legend. The hair, the rant, the bike crash in Bracknell, the resignation in Wembley gents. Privileged to see you play for the Magpies at the Manor in October 83.

Re Love Island, I must admit I always thought body count was how many alleged enemy soldiers were killed in a single firefight in Khe Sang in Vietnam announced by Robert McNamara in 1967 on the news.

Just watched BBCs 1977 'Supernatural' "The Night of the Marionettes". Blimey. Vladek Sheybal and Gordon Jackson so on their A game but for me? Jacksons daughter, a gripping incredible performance. The actress? Pauline Moran. Yep, she played 'The Woman in Black' in that 1989 ITV serial.
