SO many scammy "akiya influencers" talking about cheap Japanese houses but conveniently forgetting to mention the dead surroundings or the $250k required for refurbishment to make them livable. I know we live in bad times but don't fall for these "too good to be true" scams!

(Me trying to get out of the Adobe scum snare). I wonder if I can just disable auto-renew... Hm, can't find that anywhere. I'll check the help center. Hey, the help center doesn't work or load or is basically nothing. Adobe's depth of depravity never ceases to amaze me.

I have an app that turns the Win11 start menu back into the Win10 one, where I keep all my shortcuts. However, it usually takes me a good few seconds of browsing those because every gd app icon looks the same these days. A beige boring melted goo of abhorrent purple corporate branding sludge.

French & Saunders had a skit where they were Shakespeare's Sister. Saunders would sing angelically, then French would come in sounding like a foghorn. That's what it feels like every time Common shows up in Silo.

I often find myself rushing through a game (the boring story part) just so that I can play the game (the fun collecting part and slowly ticking off my to do list towards completion). Lock abilities behind story progression? Ugh fine, I'll rush through that first then if I must...

In this era of super heroes and spectacle movies, a "small" story like The Fall of Sir Douglas Weatherford that touches on life, loss, the past and the changing future feels so real. A great little movie. Highly recommended! F i love movies, man.

Hey, Japan content creators, it's perfectly fine to just say your thing without first claiming your authority by stating how many years you've been living in Japan! "I've lived in Japan for 4 years. Here are 10 cool hidden neighbourhoods to visit that no one talks about! Number one: Shibuya..."

Ann Droid is one of those sitcoms where the premise and marketing material make it look pretty dire, one-joke trash, but it is in fact, a very gentle and humane comedy that is worth watching. If you were turned off as i was give it a try anyway! You may be pleasantly surprised!

If that important phonecall I got had come just 3 minutes sooner my voice would still have been fully affected by the lungful of helium I had extracted from my kid's birthday balloon just to delight her. That could have been... awkward... 😅

Japan immigrant Reddit posts only are 1 of 3 archetypes. "I applied without minimum requirements and still was denied my visa" or "A man's bag accidentally brushed past me on a busy train, how do i report this to the cops?" or "My boss isn't paying me and demanding my used panties, is this legal?"

phone: "Google Mymaps wants permission to access this account." me: deny "Google Mymaps wants permission to access this account." DENY "Google Mymaps wants permission to access this account." IGNORE!!! "I'm literally going to do this forever. Google Mymaps wants permission to access this account."

When you're stuck behind a foreigner failing to communicate a special coffee order, or holding up a bus a good 5 minutes because they weren't prepared for the payment system you can kind of see how Japanese people cling to that "they don't follow the rules" line. They're pretty annoying.
