Before 1460, #Edinburgh this area was a boggy marsh with the Tummel Burn. James III created the Nor’ Loch, which became a stinking dump. Drained in 1820 because you could smell the city 15 miles away (Auld Reekie) that historic burn still flows completely hidden underground today! #scotland #history
