Artwork of The Emperor, an Illithid or Mindflayer, from the RPG game Baldur's Gate 3. Illithids have two arms and two legs but the Emperor's skin is a pale pinky-grey. His head is elongated and slightly pointed at the top back. Where ears would be, he has exposed pink-fleshy membranes. He has prominent brows and his eyes are a piercing purply-pink and tend to almost glow. The lower part of his face has four long prehensile tentacles making his head resemble a squid. He has three fingers and a thumb on each had and his nails are long, dark and drawn into a claw like point. The Emperor is topless, broad chested and in his left hand is a fork. His right is held up and uses magic to suspend a dog collar. His lower half is clad in regal red (with grey ridging) armour. The background consists of a torn painting of a dark haired woman bottom left. A shelf of books (including one on mind flayers) a brain in a jar, A sword and a pearl in a clam. A recipe for Fiddlehead Soup is pinned to the wall too in the bottom left. Hanging in front of a torn and tattered wall banner illustration of an eye within concentric circles are a set of chain-link shackles.
