Avid heathen. Fan of (good) comedy, science, horror movies, history, et al. Mainly interesting stuff. I like to draw. Avi by me. 🚫🅰️ℹ️ It's always Spooky Season somewhere. That Dude/Him, but I've answered to worse.

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 2 Not terrible. Would probably like it more if did more than just set up a third, but not terrible. The animatronics were cool looking, and Marionette was sufficiently creepy. 5.5/10 #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days

Tonight's movie for my Quasi-Semi-Annual Spooky Season Horror Movie Watch-a-Thon and #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days is FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 2 Saw the first, it was ok. May as well watch the sequel. 6/100

Now I have, on dvd, 17 King movies & miniseries: Cat's Eye Shawshank Redemption Dreamcatcher The Green Mile Salem's Lot orig. Salem's Lot 2004 The Stand 1995 Golden Years Langoliers Dead Zone Silver Bullet Graveyard Shift IT 1990 Creepshow The Shining 1997 Kubrick's The Shining Doctor Sleep

My third reread of THE DARK TOWER has concluded. Still two months or so until OTHER WORLDS THAN THESE. I kept telling myself not to read past the point where King says "if you want a happy ending stop here" but I did anyway. The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.

I still have NEVER FLINCH on my to be read list, but I want to find & read HOLLY first. So, since GWENDY put THE DARK TOWER back to the forefront, I am rereading THE DARK TOWER series for a third time. Might carry me through to OTHER WORLDS THAN THESE but I doubt it.

SCREAM 7 Well, it was definitely a SCREAM movie. Pretty much the same formula every time so...yeah. Nothing new and exciting, but not the worst entry. Not the best either, though. Some of the kills were good but no unpredictable twists & turns. 5/10 #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days

For tonight's 2nd movie for my Quasi-Semi-Annual Spooky Season Horror Movie Watch-a-Thon and #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days I'm going with SCREAM 7 Much like with THE CONJURING I've seen all but the last one so I may as well wrap up the series. Until they make another one. 4/100 (at least)

"Ed and Lorraine Warren openly spoke about the paranormal at a time when doing so invited ridicule from the scientific community." I don't think that's changed, movie. THE CONJURING: LAST RITES Same old story just different people and a few more entities thrown in. 5/10 #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days

Today's 1st movie for my Quasi-Semi-Annual Spooky Season Horror Movie Watch-A-Thon and #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days is THE CONJURING: LAST RITES Seen the others and while I think the "based on a true story" aspect is bullshit and Ed & Lorraine were scammers in real life, I do like the movies. 3/100

THE EXORCISM Well, it was neither awful nor great. The acting was good, but it was pretty slow with not much to it. Tries to be an "elevated horror" but fails, in my opinion. I don't know. Just seems like every other exorcism movie to come down the pike. 4.5/10 #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days

Time again for my Quasi-Semi-Annual Spooky Season Horror Movie Watch-A-Thon. Also doing the #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days challenge. First up is a Stephen King adaptation I missed from 1997. Trucks Not to be confused with Maximum Overdrive, though both are adapted from the same story.

TRUCKS Not bad for a made for tv movie. Couple silly parts but overall not awful. I appreciated the ominous ending. I still like Maximum Overdrive a bit more, sillier it may be, though this one was a bit closer to the story. 5.5/10 #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days

Now watching TRUCKS, the opening movie for my Quasi-Semi-Annual Spooky Season Horror Movie Watch-A-Thon and #100HorrorMoviesIn92Days.

Have another family reunion tomorrow. This is the side of the family I do like. Downside is it's suppose to be rainy. It has never rained on a Gathering day, dammit. Fun time and there's always an auction to get funds for the following year's reunion. Lots of handmade & family heirloom stuff.

Should note I'll be watching later this afternoon. Still have to find about 90 new to me horror movies to watch. Might finally go to Peacock & watch those Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Popeye, and Mickey Mouse horror movies. Should knock off 7 or so.

When I was a kid if you wanted a personalized book there were a bunch of the same with different first names to choose from. Like when Coke does their "share a Coke with" or tchochkes you get on vacation. And we dealt with it. We didn't need no ai bs then and we don't need it now.

Parents are fed up with friends and relatives giving their kids “personalized” AI-generated storybooks with characters resembling their kids. Apart from data privacy concerns, literacy experts say these garbled and convoluted narratives could be an impediment to learning how to read.
