Good evening. Lo-A Hickory is playing TB-affiliated Charleston in a deciding Game 3 of the Carolina Lg. semis. Josh Owens has drawn the start over fully rested Moises Morales, who with Evan Siary (nearly perfect last night) is one of Hickory's two best starters.

Josh Jung was pulled the half-inning after being hit by a pitch, but I'm inclined to think he was leaving anyway. Ball snuck under his front arm and hit his chest. He was playing 3B for the 1st time on rehab.

Rangers 3, Mariners 4. 72-75. Grab yer guns and head to the mountains.

Hickory's Evan Siary has faced 15 through 5 in a must-win vs. Charleston. Crawdads lead 3-0 on a Kaden Carpenter HR and Deward Tovar double to drive in Jay McQueen.

Rangers 2, Mariners 3. 72-74. The Rangers played a day game on a Wednesday, and I watched some of it in the Amarillo airport. A weird experience.
