CARRY THE DARKNESS: Satanic Panic Themed Horror Coming to Bloodstream on August 14th

Our friends at The Horror Collective and Bloodstream will release Douglas Forrester's supernatural thriller Carry the Darkness, with a streaming premiere on Friday, August 14th. The thriller will branch out across more platforms into September.    A troubled metalhead teen is blamed for the atrocities of a malevolent entity as the ‘Satanic Panic’ sweeps through small-town America in the early 90s.   Satanic Panic horror films are always interesting to Gen X'ers because we lived through it - in the 80s. We returned home after taking up the final leg of the festival after Kurt kicked us off opening weekend and Josh held the line during the industry heavy first full week of programming. Today's poster is from a different kind of folklore, based on the short story from Ursula Wills wherein an outcast woman in a fishing village commissions a husband to be made out of wicker. Pygmalion, but with reversed genders. What could possibly go wrong? The fine poster here emphasizes the texture and the tension of a binding act. At the bottom of the face, the unwoven strands blend neatly into coarse facial hair.
