The Lined Combtooth Blenny (Ecsenius lineatus) is a species of marine fish that is widespread throughout the tropical waters of the Indo-West Pacific area and particularly from the eastern coast of Africa to the Philippines. They might be a little shy, but it sure is a pretty fish. #marinelife

Banded Coral Shrimp (Stenopus hispidus) are some of my favorite critters to photograph underwater, mainly because their little antennae always make it such a challenge to focus on the actual shrimp! 📍Maldives 🤿 Maldives Aggressor #underwaterphotographer #nature #macro #marinelife
The Velvet Snail (Coriocella hibyae) is a sea snail primarily known in the Maldives, however I happened to find this one in Thailand! It has a shell that is typically hidden under the mantle which resembles a sponge, making it a very tough spot. 📍Koh Bon, Thailand #nature #macro #marinelife
Juvenile Sweetlips are near impossible to photograph because of their flittery nature, but I manages to get a couple of this little one! Aren't it's colors and patterns incredible? 📍Koh Bon, Thailand #scubagram #underwaterphotographer #underwatercreatures #nature #macrophotography #marinelife
Both @iNaturalist and a Google Search seem to think this flatworm is a Chromodoris nudibranch but it has neither Rhinophores or a Floofy Booty! It is reassuring to know, however, that biomimicry in nature can still trick AI. 📍Koh Bon, Thailand #marinelife

Glass Shrimp (Cuapetes tenuipes) are all over the reef but are hard to photograph due to their transparency and long arms that tend to capture focus. Pretty happy with this brave one that sat with with me for a good long while! 📍Koh Tachai, Thailand #marinelife
This little crabbie looks a bit sad... maybe to have been spotted deep in it's coral hidie hole or maybe because 15 seconds of fame simply isn't enough time. Who's to know? It's a cutie regardless. 📍Richelieu Rock, Thailand #underwaterphotography #underwatercreatures #macrophotography #marinelife
Historically, I've had the hardest time getting photos of White Eyed Morays that were worth anything. I'm happy to say that bad streak has been broken with this muppet. 📍Richelieu Rock, Thailand #scubagram #underwaterphotographer #underwatercreatures #nature #macrophotography #marinelife
I'm fairly certain this is a Spider Crab of the Xenocarcinus genus, but 'm not 100% certain of the species. I'd liek to think it's Xenocarcinus depressus (Depressed Spider Crab) simply because it makes me laugh, but am waiting an @inaturalist ID to be sure. 📍Richelieu Rock, Thailand #marinelife
I know it was Ornate Ghost Pipefish day a few weeks ago, but the colors of this one deserve it's own post. 📍Koh Tachai, Thailand #scubagram #underwaterphotographer #underwatercreatures #nature #macrophotography #marinelife

The False Cleanerfish (Aspidontus taeniatus) is a species of Combtooth Blenny that copies the behavior and appearance of a similarly colored species of cleaner wrasse. It likely mimics that species to avoid predation, as well as to bite the fins of its victims rather than eat parasites. #marinelife
I call all of these types of nudis "Wartys", but there are thousands of species that look similar. @inaturalist thinks this is the Phyllidia marindica (Nautical Phyllidia), so we'll go with that! 📍Phi Phi Island, Thailand #underwaterphotographer #nature #macrophotography #marinelife

Motion blur isn't something I'm typically into, but I like the crispness of the anemone with the action of the fish. What do you think? 📍Phi Phi Island #underwaterphotographer #underwatercreatures #nature #macrophotography #marinelife
