Happy Pride month, Indies! Hello Indies! I recently had the privilege of being invited to speak at Morocco Gaming Expo and had a chance to meet the growing game developer community there. Everywhere I travel I am asked about how we built this amazing community, and the things we do to support you all. I also get asked if I can replicate that success in whatever part of the world I am visiting. The answer to that is that it is possible but it takes dedicated effort by a team of organizers working together to build an environment that feels welcoming to people who share a passion for game development and for upholding the code of conduct that governs how we expect people to behave and treat each other.

Submit your game now and for just a $6 submission fee you are guaranteed to received at least 5 pieces of feedback from games industry veterans and community peers. In 2025 we had nearly 90 submissions and selected the top 40, both all-time records in our 15 year history and we expect no less in 2026!

Hello Indies! 2026 is already 1/4 complete and we are moving into some warmer weather here in Seattle. Spring time here means Seattle Indies Expo (SIX) applications are just about ready to start. While we had hoped to get them open by April 1st it took a little longer than expected this time and the current plan is to open them tomorrow, April 7, 2026 and have them open through the end of the day on May 10th.

Happy March, Indies! March came in like a lion for Seattle Indies and made this update much later than usual. We finished February with an excellent and inspiring Games and Education Industry Collider, the fifth edition since we launched this series way back in 2018. Thanks to our new venue hosts Cornish College of the Arts at Seattle U who generously welcomed us into Cornish Playhouse at Seattle Center for an evening of talks, roundtable discussions and a lively expo floor.
