People who send me code to review: I can tell it's slop. Please stop. I do not send you my slop without looking at it, understanding it, and cleaning it up — I expect you to do the same. Thanks.

New features in github.com/rock3r/repo-... 😎 * repo-stale-branches now reports stale active branches instead of hiding them, while keeping ordinary cleanup safe. * Added an explicit clean-worktree mode to detach to upstream and abandon an active merged branch. * Completions for repo-stale-branches!

I published vibrance-0.1.0 on Maven, now with support for Compose for Desktop (JVM). The APIs let you mix colors yourself, or draw gradients as modifiers or Compose brushes. Next steps: refine the model training to improve some color transitions, better alpha support. github.com/romainguy/vi...

Be aware there's an ongoing campaign on GitHub where bots use AI to reply with semi-plausible comments on issues, adding an attachment which is almost surely malware.
Levels.fyi plotted 24 months of big tech comp and layoff data to find the best place for software engineers. Anthropic is the standout with $800K average comp and no layoffs. It’s ironic the company most vocal about engineers no longer writing code by hand pays them the most.

Coming in Metro 1.3.0! Was awesome working with Rahul on this
I collaborated with @zacsweers.dev (who did most of the heavy lifting) to add automatic tracing for Graph bindings generated by Metro. If you are using DI, then you should be cognizant of it's costs. Metro automatically adds traces for all generated bindings when you enable Runtime tracing.
I created the Unenshittifiable License, which I will likely be releasing a bunch of stuff under going forward. Y'all are welcome to use it as you see fit. uelicense.eu
Super sympathetic to Sonatype's situation, hosting isn't free. But announcing this with paltry limits and no public pricing options (a sales contact ain't it) is bad for everyone and going to be a major disruption to the JVM and Kotlin ecosystems. central.sonatype.org/publish/mave...
