I published vibrance-0.1.0 on Maven, now with support for Compose for Desktop (JVM). The APIs let you mix colors yourself, or draw gradients as modifiers or Compose brushes. Next steps: refine the model training to improve some color transitions, better alpha support. github.com/romainguy/vi...

Be aware there's an ongoing campaign on GitHub where bots use AI to reply with semi-plausible comments on issues, adding an attachment which is almost surely malware.

Levels.fyi plotted 24 months of big tech comp and layoff data to find the best place for software engineers. Anthropic is the standout with $800K average comp and no layoffs. It’s ironic the company most vocal about engineers no longer writing code by hand pays them the most.

I've been working on a Kotlin/Compose Multiplatform to interpolate sRGB colors as mixtures of paints/pigments. It can produce results that are more appealing than the traditional sRGB interpolation that Composes uses (see screenshot). Not quite ready for release yet. github.com/romainguy/vi...

Spectre 0.2.1 is out. Native recording helpers now extract to stable, per-user paths — so on macOS you grant Screen Recording permission once and it sticks, instead of re-prompting every run. Better helper extraction and agent attach, too. github.com/rock3r/spect...
