@sfgiants.com want to explain how you sell out of the item you advertised for Jewish heritage night before the end of the first inning and the manager can’t be bothered to take down the ad, much less apologize for making me walk all the way across the park for nothing?

All the world is a narrow bridge, and the important thing is to not be afraid. I used to keep the gems secure.

Love to stand around waiting for 20 minutes for the last bus of the day… that’s canceled with absolutely no notice at the stop or in the app. Thanks @rideact.bsky.social !
@sfgiants.com what’s kosher for Passover at oracle park this weekend?
@rideact.bsky.social what happened to the 3:29PM NL from Lake park & lakeshore to SF? It never showed up and I can’t find any evidence of a canceled run — maps told us to take that bus and it’s hard to now be a half hour late!
@rideact.bsky.social this morning while waiting for the NL to SF at Lakeshore and Lake Park I followed the instructions posted and went to the temp stop at Wesley. Stood for 45 minutes and two NLs failed to stop despite me flagging & calling in. What’s going on?
I try not to dwell on the fact that this is what happened. It’s still sickening to me what Ruby central did, that they have no conscience for the harm they’ve caused. I want to move forward, and ruby centrals view of the world is clearly obdurate and stuck in a miserable past.

Bundler belongs to the Ruby community
I’ve spent 15 years of my life working on Bundler. When I introduce myself, people say “oh, the Bundler guy?”, and I am forced to agree. I didn’t come up with the original idea for Bundler (that was Y...

The events of the past week have still been really hard for me to process. The only way I can describe it is a nasty breakup of a decade-long relationship. I know people in the community are (rightfully) upset. I just ask that you remember individuals were directly hurt too.

This is, at best, an extreme mischaracterization of what’s happened over the past week. As a member of the rubygems team for over a decade, Ruby Central’s actions happened without discussion with the maintainers team. Afterwords, the entire team spoke out against what had happened.
Today I’ll be mourning what’s happened to projects I have poured a third of my life into.
Hey, #ruby folks! I've been one of the #RubyGems maintainers for the last decade. Ruby Central has forcefully taken control of the RubyGems organization on GitHub, the `rubygems-update` and `bundler` gems on rubygems[.]org, and more. You can read the details here: pup-e.com/goodbye-ruby...
Today is my last day working full-time on RubyGems. While being able to focus on securing the Ruby packaging ecosystem has been a dream job, the time has come for me to move on from Ruby Central. I’ll still be maintaining RubyGems/Bundler/RubyGems.org, just not as my day job.
