I would argue that this was true with oWoD and not just Masquerade specifically. I saw similar with nWoD but it wasn't nearly as strong.

I've got something in my brain about #ttrpg players and parasocial relationships, but I'm not in the right headspace. We've all witnessed the rise in a parasocial relationship with D&D5e alone, buoyed by Critical Role and a few key others. But that pales in the shadow of Vampire: The Masquerade.

As someone who was born in Houston, TX. I won't say the state is perfect, but it is definitely not what the state government makes it out to look. Decades of gerrymandering have created a red state where a purple one should be. It makes me sad for my family and friends there.

“Texas Government” is not equal to Texas. They are undeserving and maintaining their authority through gerrymandering. Culturally there should be a North Texas and a South Texas. And South Texas is amazing and diverse. But it’s totally cool so many folks want to just get rid of Texans.

With a good Rule Zero conversation, I am generally flexible if people want to play some things that aren't exactly #commander legal, within reason. Its meant to be a social format. If someone takes advantage of that, then I know for next time and can walk away.

Had a woman at Starbucks this morning comment that she was surprised they didn't close the mall while they were doing construction "because of all the dust." Then continued on saying that "the least they could do is provide masks for people that were shopping." 🤦‍♀️

As someone who was a serial nail biter growing up, this is super impressive to me. I think this is the longest my natural nails have been...ever. Yes, the pinky is short, I almost pulled it off in April. It's growing ❤️
