I started putting together an eco-cinema filmography. I realize that this is an impossible task (since many films can be read ecocritically), but maybe it can just be a list of films that resonate with me and that I can keep populating.
I watched the Argentina match just to witness Messi making history, and he did it in the most Messi/magical way possible. The man is unbelievable.

Who is attending ASAP Conference? Trying to decide on travel dates. It's tricky to find flights from Santa Cruz with the added complexity of shuttle arrangements and transport time to nearby airports.
Worked a full day on my new course on media in the Anthropocene and it's slowly coming together. I imagine that I'm quite lucky to be assigned two eco-media courses (one undergrad and one grad) in a year.
Waiting for the Canadian election results in anticipation. Strange to be in the diaspora of both of my countries of citizenship at times like this.

The images of people freed from Syrian torture chambers are giving me chills. I hope something good comes out of the regime change after all this suffering, although the path looks very challenging with the current political actors. Iraq is not a promising precedent but it's unhealthy to compare.
