Railway Signalwolf here! 🇦🇺 Australian Furry. "G'day!" Drives trains for work! Crew electric trams (Streetcars) as a volunteer (22 years) in both 🇦🇺 & 🇳🇿!

Racing to the Goldfields Inspired by a famous scene of the Victorian Railways - Spirit of Progress racing an aeroplane. I'm Driving WAGR PM class No.701, with The Westland, racing against Arramall in his Tiger Moth. Both are bound for Kalgoorlie. Artwork is by the talented CharmersShelter on FA.

I've always wanted to 'hide' this section of my model railway, by making it obvious that it wasn't part of the scenery. I initially did that with just using a darker colour scatter, but have now placed all these pine trees. (The passenger cars in the image were being used to judge clearances)

So a Driver was cleaning out his locker recently and gave me a bunch of things. I found this, photocopied it and just had to stick it to the sign on counter for today (note the date)(also note the current 'worker' layout at left):

Today marks 140 years of Melbourne trams. Trams launched in 1885, providing convenient, reliable, and easy transport for Melbourne. In 1999, #YarraTrams took over, and we replaced convenient, reliable, and easy with delayed, defective, and profitable.

The public transport punt that changed Melbourne

Melbourne's history with trams goes back 140 years. The city got its first tram in 1885 and the fleet has grown to become the world's largest tram network.
