Wisconsin households are paying over $2,000 more this year for healthcare, gas, utilities and other goods under President Trump's tariffs, rising costs tied to the conflict with Iran, and Republicans' failure to address health care costs. The numbers speak for themselves!

President Trump promised to end foreign wars and lower costs. Instead, the conflict with Iran is driving up gas prices, making it even harder for Wisconsin families already struggling with rising costs. Wisconsinites shouldn't have to bear the cost of President Trump's reckless decisions.

Last session, Sen. LaTonya Johnson introduced legislation creating Wisconsin's Missing Child Alert to help law enforcement quickly notify the public when a case doesn't qualify for an AMBER Alert. Now, eligibility has expanded from children under 10 to under 12, helping protect more WI families.

2/3 of Wisconsinites support legalizing recreational cannabis. It's time for the Legislature to act. Every year, Wisconsinites cross state lines to buy legal cannabis, sending tax dollars to neighboring states instead of investing them here at home. Let's move Wisconsin forward!

This session, Senate Democrats introduced 446 bills to address the issues that matter most to Wisconsinites. By refusing to act on these bills, Senate Republicans have ignored the voices of Wisconsinites. We need action, not obstruction. Senate Democrats are ready to get to work.

Some people leave a lasting mark on their communities. Tom Diehl was one of them. Kudos to Sen. Sarah Keyeski for championing the bipartisan legislation that @GovEvers signed into law, designating US Highway 12 in Lake Delton as the Tom Diehl Memorial Highway.

Congress recently overwhelmingly passed a bipartisan bill to help lower housing costs and build more homes but President Trump is refusing to sign it into law. What was his take on families across Wisconsin struggling with rising rents and high home prices? “It’s a yawn.”

It is a shame that after nearly 50 years of established precedent, the U.S. Supreme Court stripped away the federal right to abortion four years ago. Here in Wisconsin, abortion remains legal. But until reproductive freedom is permanently protected in state law, the fight continues.

Everyone should be free to live as their authentic selves without fear of discrimination or exclusion. This month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and continue the work of building a Wisconsin where everyone belongs. Happy Pride Month!

Today I'm reminded of my visit to Westport Prairie with State Rep Alex Joers this time last year to learn more about restoration efforts at the historic Empire Prairie. Wisconsin’s natural beauty is worth protecting, and we must continue investing in conservation efforts across our state.

Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. May we take time to remember their sacrifice, reflect on the freedoms they protected, and support the veterans and families who carry their legacy forward.
