Beginning August 1, Minnesota begins to close a chapter that has stayed open for 50 years. Veterans of the Secret War in Laos fought alongside American soldiers but have been denied recognition. Now, at long last, their service will receive the honor and recognition it has always deserved. #Veterans

“I am relieved to see one element of resolution and accountability for this attack that took the lives of my friends, the Hortmans, and put the Hoffman family through the unimaginable.

Thank you to the diligent investigators and prosecutors who brought this case to a decisive federal conclusion. Their work has cleared up misinformation and eliminated doubt about these tragic events.

I hope this day brings a small amount of solace to Sophie and Colin Hortman and to John, Yvette and Hope Hoffman, whose courage and humanity continue to shine through in times of pain and darkness.

Senate Majority Leader Erin Murphy."

We're seeing results of our "Sprint Medic" pilot program that is working to improve the efficiency of roving paramedics in rural Minnesota.

The program has been a huge success. It "speeds up paramedics' response times and gets them to the site of emergencies in rural areas more quickly."
